What does the Travelteq Lifetime Warranty Cover?
Travelteq offers a lifetime warranty for The Briefcase, The Messenger, The Overnight and The Inside Out purchased on or after October 1, 2024. Our warranty covers all functional aspects of these premium leather and nylon bags against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for their lifespan.
Our lifetime warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, including scratches, scuffs, discoloration, water marks, fading from sunlight, or gradual loosening of stitching over extended use
- Accidental damage, misuse, abuse, or improper storage
- Interior damage caused by sharp objects placed inside the bag
- Exposure to extreme conditions, including prolonged moisture, direct sunlight, or excessive heat
- Natural aging of leather, such as the development of patina
- Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or alterations
- Damage resulting from external force
Each claim is individually assessed based on the nature of the issue, the age of the product, its condition, and signs of normal usage over time.
How do I claim a Travelteq warranty?
Contact our support team at info@travelteq.com & qualitycalims@travelteq.com with:
- Clear photos of the issue or damage
- A brief description of what happened
- Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)
- Full name, order number, and date of purchase
Our team aims to respond within 3 working days. After reviewing your submission, we will advise whether the issue can be assessed remotely, whether the bag needs to be sent in for physical inspection, or whether the issue falls outside warranty coverage.
Assessment & Repair
Once received at our office, please allow up to 2 working days for assessment. Where applicable, our team may consult with our experienced leather repair specialist in Amsterdam, who has worked with Travelteq products for more than 10 years.
If a manufacturing defect is confirmed:
- Travelteq will cover shipping costs related to the warranty claim
- The bag will be repaired where reasonably possible — we follow a repair-first approach as part of our sustainability and craftsmanship philosophy
- If required, the bag may be sent to our workshop in Italy for specialist repair (estimated repair time approximately 2 weeks, excluding shipping)
- For longer repair periods, a temporary lease bag may be available, subject to availability
Replacement products are offered only where repair is not reasonably achievable. Any repaired or replaced product remains covered under the original warranty terms.
Shipping Responsibility
If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Travelteq covers return shipping costs. If no defect is found, shipping and return costs remain the customer's responsibility. The purchaser is responsible for initial sending costs, which may vary by location.
I purchased before October 1, 2024. What is my bag’s warranty?
For purchases made before October 1, 2024, a 2-year warranty applies to Briefcases, Messengers, and All Leathers from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship but excludes cosmetic wear and tear, misuse, or abuse, as outlined above.
